The problem

Related ideas scattered across your notes

Related ideas in a note library drift apart, with the same point under two titles or a thread from last spring that belongs with today's note. Spotting duplicates and connections from memory leaves ideas scattered and unfiled.

Without PopdockAI

  • Rely on memory to link related notes
  • Search for duplicates under different titles
  • Guess which notes belong in the same collection
  • Leave ideas scattered

With PopdockAI

  • The note is found, and it stops if the title is ambiguous
  • Related notes are ranked by similarity score
  • The top three links are explained in a sentence each
  • Likely duplicates are flagged, read only

Prompt
**Objective:** Find notes related to the note titled {note-title} and explain the connections, keeping only those with a similarity score of at least {min-score} (default 0.5).

**Step 1: Resolve the note**

Call mem-get-notes with itle set to {note-title}. If none match, retry with itle.contains. If more than one matches, list them with ids and updated-at and stop. Keep the note id.

**Step 2: Get related notes**

Call mem-get-related-notes with source-note-id set to that id, similarity-score.min set to {min-score} and max-records 15.

**Step 3: Report**

A ranked table of related note title, similarity-score and snippet, then for the top three one sentence on why it relates to the source note. Suggest any that look like duplicates or that belong in the same collection.

**Rules & Guidelines:**

* Read only. Never call mem-create-note, mem-update-note, mem-delete-note, mem-trash-note, mem-restore-note, mem-move-note, mem-add-note-to-collection, mem-remove-note-from-collection, mem-set-note-created-date, mem-create-collection, mem-update-collection, mem-delete-collection or mem-mem-it.
* Do not show notes whose rashed-at is set unless the user asks for them.

**Validation:**

* If nothing meets the score, say so and offer to lower it.
