The problem
The reason a task is late is buried in its history
When a task is late, the reason is usually in its history: a due date pushed back, a hand off or an unanswered question. Scrolling the activity feed to piece that together takes a long time.
Without PopdockAI
- Scroll the task's activity feed
- Note each date change and reassignment
- Find the question nobody answered
- Guess at the real cause
With PopdockAI
- Full history and logged time read
- A dated timeline built from the activity
- A diagnosis of why the task is stuck
- One next step and owner, nothing changed

**Objective:** Explain what has happened to the Asana task `{task-name}` (optionally in the project `{project-name}`): who touched it, when it moved, and why it is stuck or late.
**Step 1: Find the task**
Call `asana-get-tasks` with `name` set to `{task-name}`, adding `projects` set to `{project-name}` when given. If nothing matches, retry with `name.contains`. If more than one task matches, list them (name, projects, assignee, due date, completed) and stop. Record the `task-id`, assignee, due date, sections, parent task and completion.
**Step 2: Read its activity**
Call `asana-get-story` with `task-id` set to the task id and a high `max-records` (200). Order the stories by `created-at`. Separate comments (people writing) from system activity (assignee changes, section moves shown by `old-section` and `new-section`, due date changes, completion changes).
**Step 3: Read the time logged**
Call `asana-get-time-tracking-entry` with `task-id` set to the task id, to see whether anybody has actually been working on it and when.
**Step 4: Report**
* **Now:** assignee, section, due date, days overdue if any, total time logged
* **Timeline:** a dated list of the meaningful events, oldest first, merging comments, moves, reassignments and time entries; collapse runs of trivial activity
* **Diagnosis:** why it is stuck, from the evidence: for example repeatedly rescheduled, bounced between assignees, sitting in one section for weeks, waiting on an unanswered question in the comments, or no time logged since a given date
* **Suggested next step:** one concrete action and who should take it
**Rules & Guidelines:**
* Read-only. Do not call `asana-create-comment`, `asana-update-task`, `asana-move-task-to-section` or any other create, update, add or move tool.
* Quote comments briefly and only where they carry the explanation. Do not speculate beyond what the stories show; say when the history is too thin to tell.
**Validation:**
* If the task has no stories, say that its history is not available and report only its current state.Who it's for
